Über mich

Quote from a Masterfile newsletter:
“Based in Germany, photographer Elisabeth Coelfen has a passion for digital imaging, creating contemporary images in a wide range of subjects. Her focus is in still life, food and people. Elisabeth has an M.A. in linguistics (German and English) and in computer linguistics. She loves the process of turning ordinary things into art.”
I am a food, still and lifestyle photographer shooting stock and I am also available for assignment work. My style is light and simple from natural to vivid colors. I shoot natural light and flash with mostly prime lenses and tilt/shift.
I am self-taught and love doing everything on my own. Whatever subject I shoot I always do it all: the  planning, shopping, propping, scouting, styling, Make up, shooting and editing.
At the moment I am trying my hands on stock videos.

On a personal note:
- I am 42 and I live in Germany with my husband and two Labrador retriever dogs.
- I love autumn and spring and I hate summer.
- When I am styling or working in the kitchen I always listen to audiobooks (mostly thrillers or horror) on my iphone.
- I am the most impatient person in the world.
- I love walking on my mini tramp playing “Walk it out” on the wii (don’t tell anyone).
- My husband says I am a perfectionist – I do not believe that.
- My grandfather did not give me a camera – in fact I was not interested in photography at all before digital.
- I am addicted to my iPad and iPhone and iMac and AppleTv.
- We spend our holidays in Denmark (North Jutland) with the dogs.
- In my next life I will own a fabulous bakery.
